On Wednesday evening of Holy Week it has become a tradition at St. John’s to walk the Stations of the Cross which are marked around the Nave with a ceramic plaque at each station. The Stations of the Cross or the Way of the Cross, also known as the Way of Sorrows or the Via Crucis, refers to a series of images depicting Jesus Christ on the day of his crucifixion. Each station has its accompanying prayers and singing. Some of our plaques are shown here.
